Membership

The Fulbright Language Scholars’ Association, Nigeria consists of alumni of the Fulbright FLTA exchange scholarship. This organization arose from the need to create a platform for contributing to Nigeria what experiences and knowledge we have gained from participating in the Fulbright program. Importantly, we find the Fulbright ethos of peace and mutual understanding between peoples as one that can hold only in a society of rightly educated people. We have created this group in order to help in forging that type of society – a society, as George Washington would say, of “manly [courageous], virtuous, and happy people”.
